“Früh”- closer to release

If you hear of music written by Schoenberg, Berg and Webern,

many people are scared and not at all interested in listening…! My new CD “Früh” will be released in the end of the month, and I can assure you – it is the most delicate, beautiful and soft music full of emotions. The three geniuses wrote this music as young composers before they went on into 12-tonemusic, so that’s why it is called “Früh”. With me on the keyboard is Nils Anders Mortensen – my most appreciated lied-partner!

Texts for Veslemøy Synsk

Grammy nominated Veslemøy Synsk:
I know there has been some complaints regarding that the true texts of “Veslemøy Synsk” are not written in the booklet of the CD. Sorry about that! It is A LOT of text, and we would have had to enclose a book, not a booklet.
But since I have all the texts myself, I present them here on my homepage. You’ll find it under “Albums – Solo Albums – Veslemøy Synsk – Texts”. The Norwegian texts are all already there, I have begun to write the English ones, and will continue this work during the following days. Enjoy!

New photos

The Lofoten photographer Espen Mortensen made some great photos in January.
It was freezing cold – standing in concert dress and other outfits for a couple of hours… But I survived even without getting a cold :-) You can see all the photos in the “photos”-section.

New website!

Hello everybody!

This is just to inform you that in a couple of weeks I hope this will turn into a new nice website for Marianne Beate Kielland.

In the meantime I could mention my December 2011 activities:

First of all my CD Veslemøy Synsk by Grieg / Thommessen with my pianist Nils Anders Mortensen recently was Grammy-nominated in the category of Best Classical Vocal Solo. Exciting and overwhelming!

Other things: This month is the month for the Messiah. I performed it in Washington, this week it is in Trondheim, and next week (14., 15. and 16.12) I will perform it in Århus – Denmark under Giancarlo Andretta.
